If this is relevant whatsoever, please note that my phone can connect to my router without any problems. I have also went into the "Device Manager" and uninstalled the driver for the "Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter" and then installed the latest version of it.

So far I have opened the "Network troubleshooter" and try to detect problems, but I couldn't find the problem this way. The only way I can use the internet is by connecting the router to my laptop via an Ethernet cable. The weird thing is that I can see all the wireless connections around me, including my router, but I cannot connect to it. I have recently bought a new laptop (Asus K56C) and installed Windows 8 and also all the necessary drivers.īut when I try to connect via wireless to my router I keep getting this message instantly (as if it doesn't even try to connect): "Can't connect to this network".
